- FALSE ADVERTISING - ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY - SMUG AND RUDE MANAGEMENT This hotel has a beautiful appearance. However, I have never experienced the level of poor hospitality and rude customer service. On their website they state amenities and their hours that have been adjusted due to COVID. In very clear print. **UNDERSTANDABLE AND APPRECIATED GIVEN WERE IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC** The next morning when we call for room service, we are informed they don’t provide room service. Front desk becomes defensive when I mention the website stated otherwise and tells me that I was looking at the wrong hotel’s website and then asks me if I want to cancel my reservation at their hotel. She transferred me to someone else who suggested we walk to the nearest deli for breakfast. Adding to the confusion, the night manager stated at check in, that room service had been adjusted to 7am-5pm.In our first room, the AC stopped working between 12am-1am, within hours of settling in on our first night. When we call front desk to let them know the handy man they sent, states the AC is broken, we are not moved to another room. We had to request, that we be moved to another room with a functioning AC.The afternoon before check out I call to request a late checkout. They state I have to call the same morning for the request and that normal check out is at 11am. The next morning, the cleaning service walked in to our room at 9am, while still in bed.On our way out to the deli for breakfast, we ask to speak with a manager to inform him of the quality of our stay thus far and how misleading the website is. When we approach Daniel, the manager, he takes zero accountability, and in a very smug tone tells us there’s nothing he can do because we booked through a third party, Hotel Tonight. He suggests that we cancel our reservation and seek another hotel. We ask that he waive some fees, to cover for the inconvenience and false advertising and he says the only thing he can do is waive the resort fees. The next morning when we check out, we see that the resort fees remain on the bill. When we confront Daniel he states that we never said yes to him waiving the resort fees and the manager form the night shift had already waived the room upgrade fee. That it’s one or the other. Again mentioning that it wasn’t their problem because we booked through a third party. He then proceeded to tell us there was nothing left for us to discuss because we had already been charged for our stay. Daniel, the manager at The Grand Beach Hotel at Surfside was extremely rude both times we spoke with him. Suggested zero solutions and then put the blame on us, the customer, because we booked through Hotel Tonight, a third party.I will never be booking here again and strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

As far as customer service goes, be very careful about front desk behavior. We encounter a few steps back with the Representive. our package was prepaid, and we were asked to pay for an “upgrade “ for the type of room we reserve. The prepaid package included the room, but upon arrival they asked us to pay for the room. Good thing we had the receives.

Hotel elegante y moderno, pero pobremente administrado. Si continuan de esta manera en pocos años el hotel perderá su encanto. Alfombras del piso manchadas, control del tv sin baterias, olor a humedad en la habitacion, servicio deficiente, valet parking excesivamente caro, te carga $44 cada vez que solicitas el carro, atencion del front desk de regular a malo. Me hospedé en el 4to piso habitacion 468.

When we got in to check in the front desk clerk was really RUDE had an ATTITUDE . We paid a lot of money to stay there n still had to pay for parking . I think parking should be free to there guest . The manager came out making it seem like we were asking for discounts . We was simply asking why we have to pay for parking when we're already paying so much to stay at there resort . When we left the room maid service never came to clean the room . We ran out of towels .I looked for one of the maids that was down the hall from our room asked why our room wasn't cleaned she replied she would get someone on it . We was leaving for dinner told her we would be back in a while if someone can clean it gave her a tip thinking she was going to get someone on it . We then returned from dinner to find the room the exactly same way we had left it . No towels or anything . Felt like our business wasn't welcomed there or honored . Don't know if it was cause of skin color or looked like we didn't belong there . Would not be returning there ever again.

Stayed here a few weekends ago and I must say it was fantastic! Easy checkin/checkout. Beautiful place on the beach. Harley was super helpful and could not have been more accommodating. Definitely coming back for my birthday next month

Hotel and pool area were great! Awesome view of the beach and ocean from the Sky pool on top floor. Excellent service from pool staff especially Enrique! He was great and attended our every needs. Our stay at this hotel was excellent up until check out. Scott Guilbert and Harley Scott were the Employees attending our checkout and during this process there was an issue with billing in which TWO managers were unable to elaborate why we were being charged a bill that was paid for already. The customer service by the Front Desk Manager and Operations Manager was SO poor that I’d never recommend this hotel to anybody. I am 21 years old and have more customer service then both of the managers combined. The way they spoke to my wife and I was disrespectful and unprofessional. I’d be careful booking at this hotel as it is all nice at first but when a problem arrives they will be quick to dismiss you and not help you with your problem. You’re better off going to the neighboring hotels in the area which I can guarantee have better customer service at the management position 100%. Only reason I gave the hotel one star was for the pool and the Pool guy Enrique!

Bathroom smelled awful. All the water ran out of the shower. Overpriced food/snacks/drinks; even for a hotel. We paid $85 for a dried turkey sandwich and burger and two watery barely any alcohol drinks. An OJ is $8....The tip is already included 18% (enjoy that)

Hotel is beautiful and staff is accommodating. However when you book an ocean front king suite that is what it is, ocean front and in our case a beautiful view of the tops of palm trees. Opt for the upper floors if you want an ocean view. You pay a little more but you will not feel duped as I did.

Excelente hotel, he pasado unos días espectaculares, no le encontré nada malo. Excelente ambiente para parejas y familia donde no hay ruidos inclusive en la piscina reina la armonía y el bienestar. Los departamentos nuevos bien iluminados ropa de cama nueva blanquisimas así como las toallas. El departamento con balcón posee dos baños uno en el living. Hay muchos espejos lo que hace al departamento más luminoso y amplio muy buena decoración, alfombras limpias. El balcón tiene mesa y sillas para disfrutar la vista al mar. Destaco que se puede descansar ya que no hay ruidos molestos. En el sector piscinas tanto abajo como en la terraza tienen dos jacuzzis de agua caliente poseen un sistema de sillas automatizadas para sumergir a personas con movilidad reducida ( primera vez que veo esto). Hay que destacar que no hay música caribeña fuerte como se estila en hoteles del caribe. Muy buena atención y amabilidad del personal. Posee playa privada y eso es muy relajante. Pienso volver y pronto.
