O hostel e incrivelmente barato para os padrões de nova York, bem localizado e com bom atendimento. O quarto e ok, padrão de hostel e realmente apertado, mas o chuveiro tem ótima pressão e temperatura. Pra mim o que falta mesmo é mais equipamentos na cozinha, de resto, recomendo!

Hostel bem ao lado da estação 103 street, do Central Park e da estação Cathedral!! Para ir do JFK airport pegue o airtrain Federal Circle desça na Jamaica Center e pegue o trem em direção à Penn station (Pensilvânia station) , custa hj (21/11/17) USD 15.00 tem outras formas mais baratas pegando a Linha E do metrô só que demora muito, eu contei 25 estações!! Posso ter perdido a conta!! Foram 1:30hrs e custou 7.00 USD + o preço do airtrain (airtrain se paga no desembarque). Pode a linha E passe na estação 103st... , não lembro agora. De qualquer forma,na estação Penn station pegue o metrô uptown linha C(se for durante o dia, lembre q a linha C não funciona tarde da noite) e desça na Cathedral Pw. Se o C não estiver funcionando, pegue a linha A via Inwood e desca2na 103 street.Ambas as estações são próximas ao hostel! Tem super mercado próximo (lugar mais barato para almoçar com muita variedade, inclusive sopas). Se vc gostar de explorar a cidade caminhando é possível ir à Times Square, American Museum of Natural History, MET ou Broadway!

Esse hostel é mto bem localizado, porém é nojento. A limpeza é mto superficial, eles apenas passam um pano úmido nas áreas comuns. Os quartos não são limpos a menos que se solicite (nem mesmo o lixo do quarto é retirado). As privadas continuaram diariamente cercadas por pedaços de papel higiênico. Os chuveiros ficham cheios de cabelo e resto de shampoo e condicionador na parede. Na parede do meu quarto havia marca de coisas escorridas (só Deus sabe o que era), as janelas acumulavam teia de aranha e muito pó. Eu precisaria ficar mais algumas dias lá, porém não tive coragem. Foi a pior experiência de hospedagem da minha vida. Nunca havia visto um lugar tão porco. Fujam! O outro hostel da rede em NY chamado Jazz on Columbus Circle Hostel é totalmente diferente, com limpeza diária, banheiro dentro do quarto e equipe nota mil. Fujam desse Jazz on The Park!

Hostel simples, sem elevador, mas fica na quadra no Central Park. Lugar limpíssimo, e o preço é super convidativo, fica há três ruas do metro. Tem wifi. Não vejo muitas resenhas sobre esse lugar, por isso recomendo!

Extremely tiny room with no amenities. Feels claustrophobic. Pillows are paper thin! Bathrooms and showers are dirty. Didn't even get a towel. Hostel staff said, they don't want to turn on the heat. Spent the whole night cold. Wifi only works in common area. Worst hostel/hotel experience of my life.

!!Disgusting!! Room which I was appointed to was so dirty! Doodle and dirt on the bed. Not kidding. Luckily they got me another room. At least a clean bed. No elevators. No WiFi. (Only some wifi af reception). Rough ragody place. Ceiling are coming off. Toilet did not flush. Emailed the owner what’s going on here but no reaction. Only good thing was the Reception people. Those I wanna thank. For the rest… this place needs to get a huge update.

I was looking for a super cheap place in the city, that was in a safe neighborhood, had nearby free parking and was walkable for most of Manhattan. This place checked all those boxes. If you are looking for anything more than this, Jazz on the Park probably isn't for you. Also, bring your own towel, shampoo, and blanket.

I have stayed at Jazz on the Park numerous times over the past year and each time was pleased.
I REALLY DO NOT understand these nasty - and which I found totally untrue - reviews posted here re Jazz on the Park.
The staff at the front desk, the manager, even the cleaning personnel are friendly, helpful and accommodating.
The rooms are clean, quiet; one time there was someone very, intrusively noisy but, when I complained?
The staff "magically" found a way to move her - or had her check out - I forget which - but they promptly and with concern for my happiness?
SOLVED the problem toot sweet!
The rooms - we have only stayed in their private bunk bed rooms with shared bathrooms
- albeit, somewhat spartan are quiet, comfortable and safe. I have NEVER experienced people in the lobby or common areas acting obstreperously.
The other guests I alway find friendly. The shared bathrooms are always clean; likewise the shared showers which, given no one has - in all the say 20 - 30 times I have stayed here - only once has anyone been in - almost might as well be private and in your room.
These unkind people who are posting bad reviews of Jazz? All I could think is why would they lie?
I have decided they must work for other hotels nearby, who don't like the competition the pricing of Jazz on the Park is giving them - Jazz is always about $50.00 less than they offer.
That is my only explanation I can come up with because they simply are untrue.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced, clean room for yourself and a friend and dislike paying an arm and a leg?
I would recommend Jazz on the Park - you will not come away disappointed and the staff will take good care of you!

Jazz is my life. I operate a world-renowned jazz history website, and I have travelled extensively to write about this music. I thought it would be a good gesture to stay in a hostel named for my favorite music. Bad idea. In fact, I think jazz should sue for libel! When I made my reservation, I was supposed to cover a nightclub appearance by a well-known jazz artist. Unfortunately, the club was unwilling to provide press tickets. I called the hostel to cancel or reschedule my reservation, and they refused to do either. They had collected all of my money upfront and had no intention of returning it! I made several attempts to negotiate with the "customer service agents" until I finally decided to fulfill the commitment and then be done with it. When I arrived, things got worse. For the first and ONLY time in my history of staying in hostels, I was told the facility does not provide bath towels. After I raised a fuss, the clerk finally gave me one...acting like he was doing me a favor. The bed had one fitted sheet and a flat sheet folded up on the bed. I didn't even bother to make the bed. I came back to the hostel late in the evening to discover that none of the lights worked in my room. I waited for nearly half an hour to get the clerk to come up to my room and fix the problem. He fumbled around and found one solution, but never figured out how to get any of the other bulbs to light. The coup de grace came the following morning. After a rather restless night, there was no hot water for the private shower I paid for! I couldn't get out of there fast enough!

Accidentally wrote my review on the other location, but I enjoyed my stay on the fact that the staff is very nice. The entire place left something to be desired but I like to be treated nicely and with respect as a customer and I felt like the staff did a good job of that. Could be cleaner but it is New York, after all.

Si es primera vez que vas y no llevas mucho dinero puede ser para pasar unas noches, relación precio/calidad, sin embargo este hostal es muy básico, las sábanas no muy limpias, las literas suenan mucho, los cuartos son exageradamente pequeños, nada que ver con sus fotos de publicidad, los baños sucios, no wifi, las toallas las rentan ($5), no ascensor, para ser un hostal bien ubicado tiene pésima calidad. La verdad que NO LO RECOMIENDO !!! (hay mejores opciones en arbb* por el mismo precio)

En general bien. La relación precio calidad se da en la ubicación, la cual es muy buena 106 y Central Park Av. No tienen ascensor eso baja una estrella (sobre todo si te mandan al 5 to piso). El cuarto doble privado nada que ver con la foto en la página web. Los baños están bien, la limpieza también. La otra estrella se la bajo porque estuvimos tres días sin almohada y no tienen maquina de café o algo para poder desayunar en su lindo salón compartido. Solo vendings.Volvería a elegirlos por la buena ubicación

Lo más barato que pude encontrar en Manhattan, pero a pesar del precio no es un mal lugar, cuenta con lo necesario, y el que haya habido aire acondicionado en verano, se agradece demasiado, lo único malo que pude notar, fueron los baños, pero fuera de eso, todo perfecto. 👍🏽
