While at the Motel le Vieux Maf, we had experience with two rooms, room 13 on the first night and room 15 on the second. Overall, the motel from the outside looks run down and slightly ratty. This is in contrast to the seemingly newly renovated rooms. The negatives - The Wi-Fi was shotty...by that I mean it did not work once for us - There were no microwaves in either rooms - There was a slightly musty scent - In room 13 the TV had a few channels in French, in 15 the TV had no channels at allThe pros - There was plentiful hot water and showers were nearly enjoyable -Staff were super helpful and friendly, as anglophone travelers their English skills were sufficient which was an original concern of ours - The beds were great! very comfortable to sleep onNow, between the two rooms we had the pleasure of staying in Room 13 had a mini fridge, which appeared to be leaking. It also didn't work very well which was extremely disappointing. The reason for our complaint though was because of the air conditioning unit which wasn't working. We notified staff the following morning and they moved us into room 15 immediately. Room 15 had perfect AC and a great little mini fridge including a freezer. Because of this single interaction with staff and our second room I would highly recommend this motel to others. Overall the Motel exceeded our expectations. If you can overlook the slight flaws then you'll have an enjoyable stay here for a reasonable price!
