Struggled to give two stars. 1.5 at best. Room was smelly and dirty...brown finger streaks on bathroom door dirty. Hadn't been dusted in ages. TV base had chunks of something grey on it. Nothing like cleaning a room after checking in. Requested late check out, to which we were denied as we had an event later in the day...must be some super fast house keepers as the hotel was full...guess that makes sense considering the state of the room! Oh, and then the sock police in the kitchen/dining area. I understand, wear shoes. But a three month old baby isn't going to be doing much walking, so perhaps let that one slide. I'm sure her parents loved that. Disappointed and won't stay again.

We stayed in a family suite for two nights.
The only positive thing I can say is that the staff were fantastic.
The room was awful. There was a foul smell as soon as we opened the door. The windows faced an indoor atrium, so we had zero natural light. The blinds had to stay closed for privacy. The only overhead lights were in the hallway/ closet which made the room extremely dingy.
When checking out, several guests ahead of me had just as many valid complaints.
Completely overpriced for a terrible accomodation.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very reasonably priced for the location so we didn't have high expectations. The room was beautiful! It had a separate lounging area. The beds were extremely comfortable and it had a cute little breakfast nook.
The hotel had a beautiful pool area with a water slide as well as a fun little game room for the kids!! Highly recommend!

*Off peak stay* Has a smaller sized pool, but has a water slide. The rooms were spacious ( family of 4). Only complaint was the AC was particularly behind a desk. Good service.
Wife had a video job interview and post check out time and they let her do the interview in a space that wasn't being used.

Our one night stay here at Rodd Royalty was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean with no issues. Very comfy King bed and pillows. Bathroom is a bit outdated looking but nothing made me skeptical about using it.
Complimentary hot breakfast was very good as well. Home fries, scrambled eggs, sausage. Also had what I think was a pancake making machine, as well as toast, cereal, muffins, yogurt, mixed fruit salad and juices and coffees. Complimentary water bottles were a nice added touch.
Convenient location within 10 minute drive of the airport, walkable distance to restaurants, grocery and other shopping, and a short drive to downtown. Overall a great stay, and would come back again.
