Lovely, unique hotel in a part of Vancouver that feels undiscovered. We stayed in an ocean suite and the CV room was awesome; huge, incredible views, bathtub right on the water and you can get out into the best of North Van in seconds. Even better, it was one of the nicest dog friendly hotels I've ever been to, they were so great about having our dog to stay and I would highly recommend them for this alone, our pup loved it. Hope to come back one day!

The room looked nice at first, but we booked the king suit with ocean view and ended up with a king room with an occluded (veryyy occluded) ocean view (See pictures with literally people staring right at the window). Even when we shared our disappointment and showed our email with ocean view proof they just told us they couldn’t do anything other than upgrade for 150 $ plus taxes for another room. They said we had to talk to hotel.com if we had any problems with the booking… terrible service. Would not recommend at all.
Plus they tried to make us pay 35$ for underground parking ! Don’t get fooled, there is 5$ parking nearby.

My experience…. Well the staff was nice to help rebook my room for a different night as I my first booking I needed to cancel at a last minute. I booked for the Oceanfront suite and first got a good deal from Expedia. I stay here as it was a anniversary and the suite itself was very nice and the staff was very friendly when I arrived. As mentioned I had to cancel at last minute but because of that I needed to pay for the difference for the room which ended up being around 740CAD for a Tuesday night. I rate this place 4 star because first I find the pricing to be a little steep in my opinion even from reading reviews for just a standard room. Especially from others experience it seems. The other thing is that I was able to actually access or use the TV and when I did cal the front desk the man at the time wasn’t to keen on actually wanting to help and assist me and there is no complimentary parking even though on the website it says so.

We stayed in the corner suite (north facing, aka not facing the sea) and the view didn’t even phase us.
The room was huge, clean and modern and the floor to ceiling windows feel quite luxurious.
Two different types of shades for those big windows.
Huge stand alone tub, double vanity, separate big shower and separate toilet room.
Location is great! Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Parking was $20 extra per night, we parked under the hotel.
Highly recommend staying here!

Room is beautiful, the decor is very up to date, beds and bedding are comfortable, rooms are clean. I love the lights beneath the beds.
Bathrooms are nice with everything you need, including a steamer! The shower is super tricky to get to the right temperature and stay. Would either go super hot or super cold. My friend had the same problem. How do you get the water to be warm and stay at your desired temperature, instead of scalding hot or ice cold? It's a mystery. 💁♀️
Bathroom floor was sticky, shoes were sticking to it, maybe a cleaning product caused this though as I am sure it was clean.
The location is absolutely perfect! Lonsdale Quay, Shipyards, etc!
The tablets in the room are fantastic, It would be great if the tablets had room service information and maybe a menu added.
If you think your going to have an ocean view, call ahead, as apparently there is only a few rooms that actually have this luxury and unfortunately my room faced condos with residents being able to see all of my room with the blinds open. Super close, I could see in there condos.
If you want to see a fantastic view or need some R&R, I highly recommend the spa! The spa was the absolute bomb! We really enjoyed the spa!
Worst and most unacceptable part of my stay was the clearly broken thermostat! It was unusable! I mean what kind of new upscale hotel would not have a working thermostat?
I mean you need to have control of the A/C, especially during a heat wave!! I had to call the front desk at 2am cause I couldn't turn the fan off which sounded like an airplane. Lucky for me, they could turn it off from the front desk, so I was able to get some sleep. But I couldn't get through in the early morning when it was hot and unbearable in the room! They apparently don't have enough people working cause it kept going to voicemail!
And one more thing the room service we ordered, we couldn't even eat. Our kale and artichoke dip was literally Soup. Not a fan.
All in all, super cool hotel, with a good spa, but make sure you check your thermostat and AC when you arrive or you will be in for a very uncomfortable stay!
