Reasonable prices. Surprisingly quiet for being in the heart of the city (great location). Clean. Nice, attentive staff.
One note: there was a lot of weirdly specific Ralph Waldo Emerson decoration in our hotel room. We weren't 100% down with the aesthetic.

Stayed here last week and was pleasantly surprised by a few factors. In particular, 1 Queen Size bed for this price in NYC (esp at walking distance to Midtown) is a steal. My room was 325-350sq ft which is a TON of space in NYC hotel standards. Microhotels seem to be up-and-coming, & Shelburne's pricing is pretty competitive considering how a microhotel's teeny basic room would be similarly priced as their basic/standard room.Would recommend this hotel for travelers, out-of-towners from other states, & def companies/work trips.Bathroom: smaller than expected but clean, had all the essentials, &Main room: so so so much space, and the bed was very plush.Kitchen "room": not every hotel has a kitchen area with a SINK, or a freezer with ice. Was very happy about this as it made eating in my room convenient.Check-in: very easy/no complaints here. They also have text msg early arrival check-in, so it was an easy process.

Actually a nice hotel, but they allowed a party to go from midnight through 7 am. Called security and front desk but with no appreciable difference. They were also smoking pot in room, so our room reeked of pot. Supposedly gave us a partial refund, but have not seen it yet.
Too bad. Was a great room and we had one good night's sleep, but other night was a disaster! Seems to be an issue for them.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ .ᴄᴏᴍ when booking any stay. This website will compare countless booking websites and usually will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of my favorites in the area. I've been coming here for years. If you decide to stay here you for sure will love it I'm sure!
Beautiful rooms! Spacious, clean, sexy rooms! Gorgeous hotel in the middle of the city! Way more updated than many of the other hotels. The service is top notch! Soon to have a rooftop bar, check it out!

Not a good value for $1,100/night.
Old, worn out, wobbly, precarious furniture.
Moldy bathroom walls.
Roach traps behind drawers with
expanding polyurethane foam showing through .
Balcony door barely latches and its lock is inoperable.
Front of hotel building is not cleaned regularly where there are cigarette butts, discarded masks, etc. in plain view as guests arrive.
No trash can/s in lobby foyer.
One staff member told me to use the public trash can at the corner of the block for the used hand wipe.
And there were Not any recycling bins. I was told No Recycling in NYC ?!
We will not stay here again.

I absolutely love the rooms here! Very nice beds, firm and soft. A lot of nice places to eat from around here. And the room itself was super nice and comfortable. 10/10.

Loved how this hotel looked and felt more like one of New York's many apartment buildings. Very modern/contemporary design. The room was very nice but did miss having a microwave in the room. We absolutely loved the "ring light" look and brightness of the bathroom light around the mirror.
The hotel's soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were all of great quality. So much so that I actually wanted to find out the exact brand that they ordered for the rooms. They weren't the cheap stuff that are usually found in hotels.

Não classificaria o hotel como 4 estrelas... longe disso.... máximo 3 estrelas. Funcionários do hotel pouco simpaticos... faltou saches de café no quarto por 3 dias (sem explicação de ninguém do porque), micro-ondas do quarto estava imundo (foi reclamado mas continuou igual). Apesar de sermos 4 hospedes no mesmo quarto, teimavam em só colocar 3 toalhas de banho. Localização boa, mas não me hospedaria novamente.
