Came for drinks in the late afternoon on a Saturday, and stayed for sunset. Just a few blocks south of the SM Pier, we sat right on the boardwalk and looked out over the sand to the bike path and beyond. There are seats with umbrellas available while it's light out right on the sand to enjoy a relaxing cocktail (get a drink from their bar a few steps away in the hotel itself) and take in the sights. Around sunset they bring in the beach chairs, but there are a few permanent chairs and benches and tables out there, too, by the bar and right in the boardwalk. So chill. A staycation dream spot. Enjoy.

I love Shutters, the place is great! The service makes you feel like a King! Although I am really a real Prince, they gave me the royal treatment of a King🤴 and the music was five stars also....

This bar will be top on my list of recommendations for friends visiting Santa Monica. My friend and I came to the bar and Nick was the best when it came to service, expertise in cocktails, and entertainment. The company, ambiance, and attention to details on all of our beverages were pristine. Thank you, Nick!

For the money, this place is not great. View of the beach is narrow, limited, and obstructed on either side of the pool deck. The pool is small. The hallways are confusing and winding. The food was limited and mediocre at best (there were only 2 options?). Overall, for the price, I would rather stay elsewhere with better service and facilities.

We went there by our friend’s recommendation and had wonderful time at the seaside. We ordered egg Benedict, French toast and etc. which were delicious. Generally, Santa Monica beach is a perfect place to walk along the seaside, have fun at the amusement park, eat, drink, have fun and even do some exercises in the racetrack. I loved it very much👍

Really have been enjoying the atmosphere and and the Patio area. A preference was given to Hotel guests. However ,that is understandable. It is noted that Lily will do her best to get you seated as soon as possible. Additionally,if you are lucky enough to get "Jessie" as your waiter you are very fortunate. It is noted that Carlos a help staff very professional and accommodating.
My friends and I have rediscovered ,Shutters for breakfast on Saturday. We are "Runners" and not Hotel guests.
Yet Lillie and Jessie have been perfect hosts. The breakfast can be described as upscale and pricy . Yet, the atmosphere, quality of the food being served and the atmosphere, I will pay the Price!

Came to Shutters for brunch and a cocktail and ended up staying at the bar all afternoon! Nick’s cocktails were outstanding & the company was even better. Will absolutely be coming back. Ask for Nick’s blueberry + gin secret specialty drink, you will not be disappointed!

This is the only place to stay in Santa Monica. Obviously, the location can't be beat. Staff were amazing, the place felt really welcoming. Room always looked spotless and the house keeping staff we met were super friendly. Concierge helped me set up some surfing lessons and gave us some pointers on where to go diving (though sadly couldn't help us arrange the ferry out). Breakfasts at Coast were excellent too, with fab service. Can't wait to come back!

Es el mejor hotel que haya visto. Me encanto su restaurante , el bar se veia bonito pero no compre nada ahí . Lo que me gusto mucho es el servicio (el personal) , las habitaciones y que esta cerca de la playa. 100% recomendado
