This location was selected because of a wedding party being held in "The Riggsby" which is the hotel bar. It was booked thru a link set up for the wedding party. Upon arrival, we pulled up the link and it was closed. Then we are informed they have no record of our reservation. After some discussion at the front desk, a room was provided. We found ourselves in a room that smelled heavily of vinegar. There remains crusted bread in the corner of the floor, A/C and heat controls that do nothing but heat the room. I was informed by the wedding couple we should have received a gift box addressed to us upon arrival. No staff seems to know anything about what happened there. I requested and spoke with a manager named Maurice the following morning. The small refrigerator was filled with drinks for sale. No room for what I had. I have since read I could have requested another. Just as I guess I could have requested someone to make the beds. $700 for a two day stay, I don't expect to have to ask for the beds to be made. From this perspective, you can do much better than the "Kimpton Carlyle.

Very good location for a DC hotel, but will not return. The floor plan to the rooms are not worth me returning. No privatization from the bathroom except a frost glass shower door... allowing the sound effects of someone taking a dump... not good. Also, shower only has a half partition (ceiling to floor) blocking water from splashing onto floor... different strokes for different folks. Would not recommend this to anyone who has to share a room with someone else including your spouse!👎 ðŸ˜

What a fantastic hotel! We walked in right at "happy hour" and got a free glass of wine. When we came back from dinner, there was dessert and an anniversary card signed by the desk staff. And that was just the first day!

Hotel was exceptional and I would stay again! We got there early 9 am and they let us check in with no extra charge. Rooms were beautiful and clean. Staff is accommodating and helpful.

Comfortable rooms, quiet area but a bit far from the subway and the centre. Very nice staff.
We were charged twice: the hotel charged the credit card while the room was paid by our travel agency. As we are foreign tourists our bank charges a fee for operations abroad. Fortunately we were fully refunded quickly after our claim. However I recommend to check your bank account after your stay.
