Nothing else but my huge appreciation for this hotel because these guys are truly one of the best. This hotel is perfectly situated close to the airport and various restaurants. The staff are all attentive, and the hotel looks good. The hotel facilities are also top-notch, including their complimentary breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially to all my friends and family. Wonderful place!! Staff are so friendly and are really doing well with COVID precautions. A friendly dog lives on site and the location is perfect. Private room was clean and cozy and patio is smoking friendly. No breakfast cuz of covid but still worth it!

Such an amazing hostel with a welcoming, kind and friendly staff! It was such a pleasure staying here for 2 weeks! The staff was so helpful and accommodating at all times. Perfect place for surfing & enjoying OB. Such a friendly environment to make friends! It was very very clean, the cleaning staff is impeccable!! Eu não tinha expectativas, pois nunca havia estado em um albergue antes. Deixe-me apenas dizer, fiquei aqui por nove dias e foi uma das melhores experiências e algumas das melhores lembranças da minha vida. Eu compartilhei um quarto com outras cinco mulheres. Eu conheci pessoas da Austrália, Alemanha, Irlanda, África e Reino Unido. Eu ainda sou amigo de muitos deles. Primeiro de tudo, a instalação real é super limpa. A equipe limpa todos os dias. Eles têm uma tonelada de refeições, passeios e reuniões nas quais você pode participar. Fica a apenas alguns quarteirões da praia e bem no meio do mercado de agricultores de quarta-feira. Há lojas, música ao vivo, ótimos restaurantes e bares por toda a Newport Avenue (na qual o albergue está localizado). Também fica do outro lado da rua de uma grande mercearia - basicamente, não poderia estar em melhor posição. Eles têm máquinas de venda automática e uma cozinha completa, se você precisar armazenar alimentos. O sistema de honra deles na cozinha é bastante importante. Eu diria que algumas coisas podem desaparecer da cozinha depois de uma noite de sexta-feira, mas o resto do tempo você é dourado. Não tive problemas com meus colegas de quarto. Há um café da manhã gratuito oferecido todas as manhãs, novos códigos de construção fornecidos todas as noites para que seja seguro. A equipe foi incrível. Todos eles. Cassidy, Ailbhe, Oklahoma Rob, Alyssa, .. Todo mundo. Eles fizeram o possível para me fazer sentir em casa, tiveram ótimas sugestões e saíram como se sempre tivéssemos sido amigos. Realmente fez toda a diferença. À noite, há muita atividade no convés (possível ruído se o seu quarto fica ao lado do convés), mas havia horas estritas de silêncio das 23h às 06h enquanto eu estava lá. No entanto, risadas e fogueiras à noite são um som que associo às praias de San Diego - nunca me incomodei com o barulho (se houver). Eu tenho visitado San Diego todos os anos há 25 anos, e eu morava em OB. Este albergue reflete o espírito de OB. Eu simplesmente amei ficar neste lugar. Eu sinto que outros albergues têm muito o que fazer depois dessa experiência! Ouvi recentemente que o albergue está permanentemente fechado como resultado da pandemia ... Espero que isso não aconteça.

I had no expectations as I had never been to a hostel before. Let me just tell you, I stayed here for nine days and it was one of the best experiences and some of the best memories of my life. I shared a room with five other females. I met people from Australia, Germany, Ireland, Africa, and the UK. I'm still friends with many of them. First of all, the actual facility is super clean. The staff cleans every day. They have a ton of meals, tours, and get-togethers that you can participate in. It's just blocks from the beach and right in the middle of Wednesday's farmers market. There's shopping, live music, great restaurants, and bars all up and down Newport Avenue (which the hostel is located on). It's also right across the street from a great grocery store--basically it couldn't be better placed. They have vending machines and a full kitchen if you need to store food. Their honor system in the kitchen is pretty on point. I would say that some things could go missing from the kitchen after a Friday night, but the rest of the time you're golden. I had no issues with my roomies. There's a free breakfast offered every morning, new building codes provided every night so its safe. The staff were amazing. All of them. Cassidy, Ailbhe, Oklahoma Rob, Alyssa,.. Everyone. They went out of their way to make me feel at home, had great suggestions, and hung out like we had always been friends. It really made all the difference. There is a lot of deck activity in the evening (possible noise if your room is deck side) but there were strict quiet hours from 11pm to 6am while I was there. However, laughter and bonfires at night are a sound I associate with San Diego beaches-I was never bothered by the noise (if there was any). I've been visiting San Diego every year for 25 years, and I used to live in OB. This hostel reflects the spirit of OB. I just loved staying at this place. I feel like other hostels have a lot to live up to after this experience! I recently heard that the Hostel is permanently closed as a result of the pandemic...I sure hope that ends up not happening.

Eu adoro ficar aqui. Fica a 2 quarteirões da praia e ultra limpo. Eu amei que havia tanto casas de banho privadas e comunais (chuveiro e WC) nos corredores; e uma vaidade e lavatório nos quartos. O albergue tinha muitas comodidades (pequeno-almoço gratuito, recepção gratuita à noite com fogueira, transporte gratuito para La Jolla, e outros bairros da cidade), passeios com desconto também foram sugeridos pela recepção e aluguel de pranchas eram baratos (US $ 10 por 3 horas) . Eles também têm protetor solar gratuito, gel de aloe vera e lavagem do corpo e xampu.Minha única preocupação foi como o ruído no pátio posterior à noite. Não há muito o que a pousada pode fazer sobre isso, embora o barulho seja de outros que estavam hospedados lá. A pousada fica em uma parte da cidade onde a vida noturna é vibrante, então o barulho é esperado, mas eu não estava preparada para isso diretamente na propriedade. Eu fiquei no quarto # 17, que é uma cama 6 todo o quarto feminino, mas as nossas janelas foram directamente acima do pátio. Outros convidados foram alto em todos os momentos da noite fora socializar. O albergue fornece gratuitamente tampões para os ouvidos na recepção. Eles não ajudaram muito, então eu optei por dormir com meus AirPods e tocar sons serenos do oceano. A equipe da recepção foi extremamente útil. Eu definitivamente ficaria de novo!

I loves staying here. It’s 2 blocks from the beach & ultra clean. I loved that there were both private and communal full bathrooms (shower and toilet) in the hallways; and a vanity and wash bowl in the rooms. The hostel had lots of amenities (free breakfast, free evening reception with bonfire, free shuttle to La Jolla, and other districts in the city), discounted tours were also suggested by the front desk and surfboard rentals were cheap ($10 for 3 hours). They also have free sunscreen, aloe vera gel and free body wash and shampoo.My only concern was as the noise on the back patio at night. There’s not much the hostel can do about this even though the noise was from others who were staying there. The hostel is in a part of town where nightlife is vibrant so noise is to be expected, but I wasn’t prepared for it being directly on property. I stayed in room #17, which is a 6 bed all female room, but our windows were directly above the patio. Other guests were loud at all times of the night outside socializing. The hostel does provide ear plugs free of charge at the front desk. They weren’t much help, so I opted to sleep with my AirPods in and played serene ocean sounds instead. Front desk staff were extremely helpful. I’d definitely stay again!
