Updating my original 1 star review to reflect recent customer service experience. They fixed their phone system and issued me the refund I had been trying to request from them for days. (No issue with stay, actually didn’t stay and needed a refund for a booking mishap)

The hotel is pretty nice. Lots to do and the hallways are beautiful . The rooms look like they are missing half their furniture.. so the rooms look nice . The reason I am giving them one star is because for the last month since we stayed there they have been sending everyone one of their reservations and customer receipts . Like all of them everyday they send me people’s emails , receipts , addresses … all of their personal info goes right to my email . I’ve reached out to them about fraud and that this was happening . The only response I received is that they were out of the office and would reach back in a few days . Several weeks later and hundreds of people private information … still haven’t heard from them . Basically have to report them to the BBB because no one is responsive at this hotel … also You can’t call them!!! That’s right , there number does not work … no one answer …
And on top of the absurd security be prepared to wait 15+ minutes for your elevator ride . If you have any questions just reach out , chances are you are already in my contacts thanks to the Whitney

Great staff and Hotel. Pet friendly. We did evacuate and brought our pets. Our pets did well. Restaurant was very good. Dog park was nearby. A convenient location.

This was our second stay at this hotel in Reno due to the insistence of our teenage son. For this stay, we booked a club level room, which came with breakfast in the lounge and drinks/snacks at night. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, especially Lupe in the club lounge. My son likes the rock climbing gym on the second floor (bouldering inside, walls outside including I think one of the tallest attached to a building). The famous Reno sign is also right off of the balcony for the outside climbing walls. The cafe on the first floor has good food. The hotel is very dog friendly, and there is a dog park a half block away. My husband likes to golf and there are several courses close by. My son and I like to swim in the river at Wingfield Park two blocks away (the whitewater slides are fun to go over as well). Many restaurants close by. The only real con for staying here for us is the slow elevators. There us no staff elevator and the stairs are for emergency use only, so the elevators are very busy and you must use them even if going down one floor.

Quiet and quaint hotel has a great accommodations.Food at there revamped whitney cafe was amazing and fine dining and there staff blows anywhere out of the water.
