You will hear the food and beverage director before you see him. During our trip, he raised his voice multiple times quite angrily - it was quite concerning to hear him speak to guest service staff in such a way and that he was comfortable enough to do it in front of guests, too. Otherwise, my husband and I had an absolutely lovely stay. Our room was amazing and there were lots of friendly faces. I also especially enjoyed the pillows, and I wish I had thought to ask what type they were as they were super comfy.

I attended the Whimsy event on April 1. Pros and cons below: Pros: Wine was good. We ordered a Napa cab so it was costly. Ambiance was decent. The best part was their waiters who were super friendly and hospitable. Cons: I was told parking would be validated prior to attending the event. On the day of they refused. We spent upwards of $600 and they wouldn’t validate the parking. Food was ok. I didn’t feel that great later at night.

Five stars all around. The rooms are elegant, updated, clean, and comfortable. Each staff member I dealt with went above and beyond to help. I was especially pleased with the front desk employee who grabbed me a cup of coffee in the middle of the night when I had to catch an early flight. The location is excellent and there are plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance.

We went to St.Regis afternoon tea to celebrate the cherry blossom season and it didn't disappoint. The place is nice and their tea selection is amazing. It's a set menu. I personally enjoyed the savory part more. While the sweets were well represented and looked amazing, nothing tasted special but the scones. I highly recommend it I just wished that I have the choice of picking what I'd like instead of having little of everything. They offered a to-go box for the rest of the sweets though.

The hotel is amazing and me and my husband went here for the afternoon tea this passed Friday. It was our 5 year anniversary and we were thinking of staying the night after a fun day of hanging out in the city. Our opinion had changed when the person servicing us essentially never addressed me, even when I was the one asking questions. When my husband asked to have champagne, only HE got to taste it and I was blatantly ignored. She had her back to me as often as possible... That is until I was the one paying the check. I have NEVER, and I do mean never, been treated that way in any service capacity. This completely deterred me from book a night there. I'm sure the staff and hotel is wonderful but this was not a good look. And this was our 5 year anniversary. Probably will think twice before considering going here for a stay.

Without a doubt, a top tier property in Washington DC. I find it to be distinctly adult and mature in its demeanor. The rooms are refined and kitted out in full detail. The real treat is their bar, arguably the best leather/sophisticated pub in all of DC. I have found myself staying at this hotel just as an excuse to visit the bar.

Great rooms with ample size and amenities. Cool location; can walk to a lot of places. Staff is so accommodating and kind. Would definitely stay here again! Excellent food; very accommodating with food allergies or restrictions! Overall a solid hotel!

In the most part I defiantly recement staying in this Hotel Outside View: Timeless & Classy Inside Lobby: A mix of history and modern day Customer Service: Superb (Check In, Room Service, Bell Service) Room: Spacious Food: Good Overall this hotel is a classic with a good history. I would highly recommend a staycation here when in D.C. be sure to check out the museum. Had dinner there and everything was super tasty. Prior to dinner, I had a drink at the Round Robin Bar and waxed philosophically with the patrons. The place is magnificent and gorgeous, with impeccable customer service.

We had Sunday breakfast at the Alhambra Restaurant . This place is simply beautiful!!!. It's inside of the St. Regis hotel , and the food was delicious! In addition, the staff was very attentive, knowledgeable, and pleasant from the door. I would highly recommend this eatery for any occasion while in the DC area. County club type atmosphere, definitely a must for dining!!

Very disappointing :/ I was celebrating my birthday and didn’t receive any acknowledgment of the occasion at all - not even a single greeting from any of the employees during my stay. I made a note on my reservation and spoke extensively with the butler service before my stay to let them know it was my birthday and that I wanted it to be special. It seriously just felt like no one cared. When my guest left she asked the front desk to send up a birthday amenity that I never received. When I let the front desk know that I never got what they said would be a box of chocolates, they offered no solution at all and looked at me like I was crazy. It’s a nice hotel, but they definitely don’t pay as close attention to details to make your celebratory stay more personalized. I felt like the employees were perpetually annoyed with me even though I was gracious and patient the entire time. This property is probably more appropriate for a business trip or something non-celebratory. The rooms are spacious and the location is convenient. Gerrado at the front desk didn’t even say goodbye to me when I checked out. I said bye and it was followed by complete silence - wow! Feels like I’ve been ripped off - didn’t get my money’s worth for a weekend I had been looking forward to for weeks. Will stay elsewhere next time. Two stars because my stay at the St. Regis was just okay. Didn’t feel tailored to what I was there for.
