Great hotel , although it is not really accessible. Well not easily. And it is very high up. They should let people know that they’re room is high. It can really scare someone. Lol. Well everything else is great! Awesome pool, hot tub x2, a kid play pool, and a pool with a slide. And they have an awesome bay walk. Pretty good! Overall real nice not the best, but it passes!
Location is great. Can walk to Petco and the Gaslamp District pretty easily. Have stayed here on multiple occasions, first time service was easy, efficient and outstanding. Second visit hotel staff was very accommodating at first, we had to upgrade our room to fit our family of 5 which was handled efficiently it seemed. Then later in the evening while we where out at dinner I received a text that their seemed to be a bit of confusion and we needed to pay an additional $250 to keep the accommodations we were currently occupying.Upon returning from dinner we had been locked out of a portion of our accommodations. Still appalled at the service, tactics and reasoning we received from the front desk. I believe Hilton will be the last in line for future accommodations when looking to travel in the future. Quite shocked and disappointed at the quality of hotel management. Will be liquidating all shares come Monday.
I love staying with Hilton.Hilton Bayfront definitely did not disappoint. The room was gorgeous, the view was even better.Every staff member was kind, helpful and knowledgeable. And the food???????Loved loved loved it!!!!This hotel is close to the Gaslamp Quarter so we were able to walk.If you need to go further, public transportation was right there as well and very easy to navigate. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Hotel itself was nice enough, staff were friendly and helpful, restaurant food was good.Unfortunately we did miss a couple of hints that room cleaning needs to be pre-booked, as you just don’t expect to have to do that, if they expect you to go without room cleaning more shower gel and shampoo needs to be provided. With all we know about covid now I feel this is no longer a good enough excuse for the lack of normal services. The extra nightly charge is a great shame, apart from two fee tours offered I can’t see why this is appropriate. You do get a $15 allowance nightly for drinks and food in the hotel but I’d rather this be optional! One thing I cannot excuse is the insane $40 per night charge for parking, the car lot across the bridge is cheaper at $10 but at the time we were there there was an event on unfortunately. When you pay for a premium hotel like the Hilton it’s because you assume more is included, it does not give the right to charge more for these things. We were advised not to walk at night after 2030 due to the cities increasing homeless problem, admittedly this is not the hotels fault but be aware around the stadium to the east of the hotel there seems to be quite a few tents etc.I will stay in a more central hotel next time I’m in San Diego and will be reconsidering how worth it it is to start climbing the Hilton rewards ladder as I have found myself quite underwhelmed over the last few years.
Beautiful hotel, great service, very clean. Beautiful rooms and being able to see the bay is nice in the morning and the sunsets is just a plus. Stayed there last week for my b'day 😊 great time. Close to (walking distance) good restaurants, bars and The Gaslamp Quarters.
Love it here. Very nice stay. The city view at night is amazing. I took a picture. It's near the city center so moving around is a breeze
This turned out to be a nice place. We have never stayed here before so we figured we would give it a shot. It was a little cheaper that the areas around it (with a catch). The location is perfect. There is a nice walking bridge that shoots you right to petco park and gas lamp district. We came on a cold day so didn't to get to enjoy the outside or pool area but they looked nice. The hotel was clean and looked to be updated or new. Staff was quick and friendly on check in and offered an upgraded room for the view. That's where the catch comes in if you get the cheapest room you have a view of the Coronado Bridge but the rest of the view is eh. The did tell us this but we only stayed one night so we declined. Next time we will take that upgrade to have the bay view because it would be much nicer. Bonus was a Starbucks right outside the doors for morning coffee. We will be trying this place again with the bay view and on a summer day to get some more out of it.
Room was clean and comfy with a wonderful view of the bay. Food was not too bad but the waiting for food was long. It was pretty busy, not mad.
We stayed here for 3 nights. Decent place with clean rooms. The bathrooms are rather small. The front view from the balcony is beautiful. The rooms have a cozy balcony, we stayed on fifth floor which had a great view of the bay and the downtown. The only concern here was despite of no smoking signs in every balcony, people were sitting and smoking out due to which there was a lot of smell in the room.
The atmosphere is Absolutely amazing. Everything in the hotel are very clean and neat, Customer service is awesome!!! We had a great experience. FYI: Food are too overpriced inside the hotel, I would recommend order takeout. The only part that I didn’t like is the pool hours, they Close too early (6pm). Starbucks and smoothies restaurant inside the building also close early too.
Our family experienced a HOTEL FROM HELL on our last San Diego trip. Before we left we decided to find a different hotel that everyone could enjoy to have a good taste in our mouth. THANK GOODNESS we found this gem. From the beginning we had a wonderful experience. We booked a room with Ashley who was at the front desk. She was very kind and accommodating with our crazy kids. She really made the experience wonderful. The hotel wasn't even crowded at all. We practically had the resort pool and slide to ourselves! The kids loved it. The drinks by the pool were delicious and relaxing.
(To be fair the staff have been amazing, shout out esp. to my guy Steve at the bar) For anyone looking for a chill vacation spot away from crowds and big families look elsewhere or check the stadium schedule. Place has been absolutely slammed with LA Dodgers fans the last three days and it’s been difficult to reach guest services, find parking (which you must pay $40 a day for) and access the elevators for a 30 floor building. There is also just a lot of random trash in the hallways right now. The pool area is supposedly capped at a certain capacity for distancing but there’s not enough room to sit for social distancing and 80% of the pool is full of children all day so there’s nowhere to just lay out in the pool and relax. I asked if there were a few hours for only adults to access the pool each day but unfortunately the answer was nope. Furthermore you have to tell 2/3 people that you’re not sharing an elevator car with them. It’s also strange that there’s a wine fridge but no access to a microwave - who enters a hotel room thinking ‘I’m so glad they opted out of microwaves and instead installed this wine fridge for my private wine collection which I’m magically lugging around just because we’re so close to wine country here in SD’ — as I’m writing this it is 11pm and someone is just blasting country music. It’s been like this for two days. I’m surprised at this experience at a Hilton. It’s a party hotel with little regulation during events. I feel like I got caught up in a Disney convention. At $320 night there should be a bit more peace and comfort.
Me encanta! Muy bien situado. Excelente ubicación. Diferentes ambientes en el hotel. Amplios pasillos y salones.
