This is nice hotel but it’s always very noisy at nights. People are very loud even at 2am as they go to their rooms. Avoid the first floor near the side exits or else you will just hear the doors slamming shut ALL NIGHT.

1. I got charged a $75 fee for pet, while I was asking for the policy document, the receptionist said they don't have it. First, it's Hyatt's right to price it but it's my right to know what you are charging for. Second, 50% pet fee is way too much more than the normal rate (10%-20% other hotels) 2. The receptionist put us in a diability facility room while normal rooms were available. The TV in the room was not working, and after requesting fixing the TV, they switched us to another normal room. 3. The elevator stopped working for some time at that night

The Hyatt rarely disappoints and that’s the case here. Beautiful clean hotel with nice rooms. Bright foyers and a modern look. Hot breakfast In the morning that was very tasty. Probably the best hotel in Bakersfield!

If it were possible to give a zero I would. My family stayed while visiting for a wedding and received terrible service and angry staff members. They were forced to go to the desk to receive towels (they could have been placed outside door). The person serving breakfast was dragging their hair through one of the items they were serving. My family had a horrible experience. Items in the room were also broken and we're not fixed or replaced during the stay.

Booked through Expedia because it was pet friendly. Failed to disclose the $75 fee for pet. Tried to cancel when we found out, but could not. Bait and switch. Front desk woman says guests frequently complain about this, she mentions it in her daily email to management every day. Yet management does nothing except have their underlings enforce their bad policies. If i worked here i would quit

My fiancée originally scheduled a reservation over a month in advance for a business trip. She arrived at midnight to find that her room had not been held. I realize that happens occasionally but what bothered me most was how the front desk handled the situation. After being denied a room, they spoke with a customer over the phone saying they still were reserving their spot despite the fact she also had a reservation. I felt them honoring someone else’s reservation over ours to be discriminating. This was a very disappointing experience.

The staff is incredibly nice, which is the biggest positive at this hotel. It's a new building and the rooms are modern and sleek. But there are no microwaves in the room, and you have to go downstairs every time. Most times you have to be by people with no masks just to heat up your food. Doesn't really make sense with the pandemic.
The other downer is the room isn't very clean. The worst part is I've been here for a week now and I booked it for two weeks for work. I work nights and I have requested at least 5 times so far about scheduling room service certain times during 9am when they start working, so I can come back and sleep in a clean room. I even wrote in the special request when I booked the room, which would make it 6 times. Every single time- I get to my room way after 9, and no one has come into clean it. I call the front desk, and again every single time I get the same response "Oh, we didn't know you wanted housekeeping, let's schedule it."
I don't need someone to understand what it's like to work all night for 12hours and to come to a clean room, but I do need a hotel to provide basic service like housekeeping when they say they will. Very disappointing. I'll have to find a different place to stay when I come up for work next month.

New, clean and comfortable. Our queen room was on a corner, and felt spacious. Several restaurants are within walking distance as is Trader Joe's. We had take out from the Mediterranean restaurant (photo), which was good enough after a day of travel. Pool is small, and you can barely swim. Ok to jump in and cool off. It's also next to the parking lot, so lacks ambiance but was nice overall.
