North Bay is surprisingly central despite its perceived location. [wiki=7d7313a84d057834af0d2b8d7d1c7022]Sudbury[/wiki] and [wiki=3ca6a654b5eb0592040731eadfcc6ff9]Muskoka[/wiki] are only an hour away by car, west along Highway 17. [wiki=aeee33366b173305b90377ed63c1084a]Ottawa[/wiki] and [wiki=948ce72be6c871b84f6d0dab24f209ed]Toronto[/wiki] are both within a few hours' driving distance as well. A drive along Highway 17 to [wiki=af87d466caefce71c10339c36e78973f]Mattawa[/wiki] is also very pretty in the fall months when the leaves are changing colours. [wiki=2c266a624cfe57b523168cdf8759a139]Timmins[/wiki] is about 350 kilometers to the north.
